My work is divided in two big areas:

1. Sociohistorical analysis of sport and physical activities (Elias and Bourdieu as a reference).

2.  Analysis from ethnographic approaches and cognitive sciences for the study of  sport and physical activities. I am especially interested in cognition as developed within the practice of such activities. I am trying to develop a fruitful research program based upon ethnomethodology and embodied cognition based on the enactive approach.

I am specially interested in martial arts and combat sports and  extreme/adventure sports.
